At North Hollywood Movers, we believe in fostering a mutually trustful and ethical relationship with our customers. For years, we have operated without charging a reservation deposit, relying instead on the common courtesy of our customers to provide advanced notice of any cancellation or re-scheduling. However, in recent months, we have unfortunately experienced a significant increase in last-minute cancellations and even "no-shows." Like many other small businesses in California, North Hollywood Movers incurs expenses associated with these last-minute changes. Lost opportunities, paid wages, fuel costs, and vehicle amortization are just a few examples of the financial losses we face when customers decide not to proceed with their move or fail to open the door upon our arrival.

After carefully analyzing these losses, we have come to the conclusion that we cannot continue absorbing these expenses. As a result, we have implemented a Refundable Reservation Deposit policy to protect ourselves against such losses. We kindly ask you to review our Reservation Deposit, Cancellation, Re-Scheduling, and "No-show" policies outlined below for your reference:

Reservation Deposit: A reservation deposit is now required for each move. Once we receive a reservation request, our agent will send you a deposit invoice via email. This one-time payment is necessary to secure your moving date. The deposit amount will depend on the complexity of the move and the number of movers required. Rest assured, these deposits are fully refundable if a cancellation notice is submitted in writing at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled move.

Cancellations: To receive a full refund of your reservation deposit, please submit a cancellation request in writing using our simple electronic contact form at least 72 hours before the scheduled moving date.

Re-Scheduling: We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our customers' needs. However, re-scheduling requests can only be honored through a telephone conversation with our agents at least 72 hours before the scheduled move. Re-scheduling is subject to crew availability and may entail pricing changes. Any requests made within 72 hours of the move will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

"No Show" Policy: When you make a moving reservation, you expect our professional movers to arrive on time. Once we collect the reservation deposit, we commit our movers to serve you and rely on our customers to meet them at the designated location. In the event our movers are not met at your doorsteps, 100% of the minimum quoted amount will be billed to your credit card.

Late Notice Cancellations: Moves that are canceled by the customer after 6 PM on the day prior to the scheduled move are subject to a minimum of 3 hours of service charge. Please note that our office staff works until 6 PM and reopens at 8 AM the following morning. Therefore, we cannot change the schedule of moving crews dispatched to the parking at 7 AM.

We hope that by implementing these policies, we can continue to provide reliable and efficient moving services while minimizing the financial impact of last-minute changes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these policies, as they allow us to serve you and the rest of our customers to the best of our ability.
